Blíževedly village is located in the district of Česká Lípa and lies on the northern edge of the Protected Landscape Area Kokořínsko, on the border of the Czech Central Mountains and Macha area. Its area covers 2,096 hectares and is situated at an altitude of 361 meters above sea level. The first historical mention of the village dates back to 1290. At present, Blíževedly has 646 permanent residents and also includes the villages Skalka, Litice and Hvězda.
