The village of Hradištko is located in the center of Bohemia, in the southwestern part of the Nymburk district, on the southern bank of the Elbe river. From the very beginning, the settlement was inhabited by fishermen and lay away from major roads. It was connected to the outside world only by the old "Nymburk" road. The settlement was located in the middle of a beautiful landscape, which, according to legends, was also loved by Princess Libuše.
A natural monument in Hradištěk and Kersk is a bog meadow, Ker ponds, Krásná Pepina pine and Švarná Tonka pine. On May 17, 2014, the new Bohumil Hrabal Educational Trail in Kersk was officially opened.
The village of Hradištko is equipped with a municipal office, a kindergarten, an elementary school, a library, and the police.
