The municipality of Horní Bukovina is located in the district of Mladá Boleslav in the Central Bohemia region.
The village of Dolní Bukovina is also part of Horní Bukovina.
The establishment of the village cannot be precisely determined. The first written mention of Bukovina is from March 10, 1399, when it was stated in the monastery books that Petr Matějův from Bukovina had attained a lower ordination. Horní Bukovina is first mentioned as a settlement of Podbukovina in 1556, but it is certain that there were already several buildings near Zábrdka.
Currently, 240 permanent residents live here.
In Dolní Bukovina there is a swimming pool "U Hrocha", which offers swimming in clean, daily maintained water, fast food stands, a beach volleyball court and a children's playground.
There is also the possibility of camping, staying in residential trailers and caravans with electrical connections around the swimming pool, and last but not least, accommodation in cabins.
The volunteer fire department also operates in the village.
