The village of Divec is located approx. 2 km northeast of the East Bohemian metropolis of Hradec Králové. In terms of the number of inhabitants (130) and the area of its cadastre (350 ha), it belongs to the smaller municipalities of the Královéhradecky region. From the south, the cadastre of the village is bordered by the Spáleník (Dehetník) forest massif, and from the north by the Librantický stream. The eastern border of the village connects to the Librantice cadastre, the western to the Slatina cadastre. The greater part of the cadastre (189 ha) consists of agricultural land of predominantly clay character. The Spáleník (Dehetník) forest massif occupies an area of almost 150 ha.
