The village of Třesovice is located in the Hradec Králové region roughly
12 km from the town of Hradec Králové, on the left bank of the river Bystřice. It is located at an altitude of 253 m above sea level at the foot of Babylon Hill. Třesovice and its local part Popovice belong to the protected area of the memorable battle on Chlum of the Prussian-Austrian war of 1866. The first written mention of the village comes from 1412. At present, the village has 253 inhabitants.
