The first written mention of the existence of Ředice dates from April 9, 1336 (at that time they were referred to as Hermansdorf)

Since the middle of the 14th century, in addition to the German name of the village, the Czech name - Ředice - also appears.
The original German name then completely disappeared. The Czech name of the village was undoubtedly derived from the previously existing name of the brook Ředina (Ředinka, Ředička, today Ředický potok).

There are two schools in the village, primary - two-class - for the 1st to 4th grade and kindergarten - two-class with a capacity of 50 children.
On the ground floor of the municipal office there is a post office, hairdresser, pedicure and manicure, a municipal library, on the 1st floor there is a meeting room and offices of the municipal office and a nail shop.

In the center of the village is a municipal inn with a ballroom.

For sports activities of citizens, there is a daily gym in the primary school, a universal playground with an artificial surface in the village center, a playground and a fitness center with a gym, which is operated by TJ Sokol.
