Municipal office Náklo.

The name Náklo itself appears for the first time in written documents in 1078 in the form of German "Nákel", Old Slavic "Naklye-Náklí-Náklo".
The name Náklo means a swampy place where young willows sprout.
This is one of my interpretations of the name of the village.

Another eventuality is based on the fact that the name "Náklo" originated from the buildings "on stilts" that were built in these areas and were discovered by archaeologists.

Some historians, on the other hand, claim that Náklo is derived from the Serbian word "naklja" which means the bend of the river.

In their discussion about the origin of the name Náklo, historians who hold the opinion that it is derived from the word to sprout, argue with the inflection of the word "kól" in Old Czech.
According to them, the name derived from the word "stake" would be "Na-klí".
According to them, "Náklo" is the name of a muddy place where willows sprout.
However, the inhabitants of the village itself and even contemporary historians are more inclined to the version that Náklo was created according to the settlement "on stilts" that archaeologists discovered here.

The first mention of Nákla is thanks to a written report from 1078.
In this year, Prince Oto Šlíčný donated part of the tithes he received from the Nákels to the newly founded Hradisko monastery in Olomouc.

The whole village was located on a promontory in a marshy area, the marshes formed its natural protection from the northern side.
From the other side, the village was protected by a gate, which was supposed to prevent the enemy from entering the village.
In the places where this gate stood, there is still a part of the village called Zábraň.

The settlement of Jáchymov was created in 1785 from the lands of the abolished monastery yard in Nákla.
It was named after Jáchym from Stettenhofen, the inspector of chamber estates.
Its first magistrate was Martin Majtnar.
The new settlement of Jáchymov and the village of Náklo have always been connected, so that the village and the settlement complemented each other.
In 1918, the merger of smaller municipalities with larger ones began, and in 1937 the merger of Jáchymov and Nákle was also carried out.
To this day, Jáchymov is part of the village of Náklo.
The municipality also includes the local part of Mezice and Lhota nad Moravou.
