Our company Ostravské opravny a strojírny z Ostravy is the largest repair shop for railway rolling stock in the Czech Republic with a long tradition dating back to 1847.
Our company has undergone great technological development and our effort is to maintain this growing pace. We are currently investing considerable resources in the modernization and expansion of production in the field of surface treatment, engineering production and technology for repairs of railway vehicles. Our development and design department is able to process drawing documentation according to customer requirements and further secure approval by the Railway Authority for car prototypes. Every year we present a modernized or completely new type of railway truck. The main production program of our company is repair, reconstruction, modernization and new construction of railway wagons, other activities include the production, repair and renewal of spare parts and building groups and individual production of parts according to customer requirements.
All work is performed not only in accordance with regulations and standards valid in the Czech Republic, but also in accordance with Commission decisions on TSIs, UIC regulations and other EU standards.
