The candles originate from the Swaziland region of South-Eastern Africa. Candle making on this continent goes back to the roots of ancient Alexandria. Candles are made using the "millefiore" method, which translates to thousands of flowers. Paradoxically, the development of this technique was helped by the improved production of glass in Venice, thanks to the method that was first used for glass products. The method is specific through the use of multiple layers of material – in the case of candles, i.e. wax (paraffin). In the final layering phase, unique patterns and color combinations are created. The candle from Africa is composed of two parts. The inside consists of high-quality white paraffin. The second layer is the "cover" which is resistant to melting when lit and is made of exotic colored sheets of wax with professionally modified African motifs. These handmade candles meet Swaziland Fair Trade standards. This certificate marks products for which working people have been well paid - It could simply be said "a fair reward for the work done". The certificate also includes the support of traditional culture and product production.
