The company TEPLO Frýdlant s.r.o, the founder of which is the services of the city of Frýdlant, was established on 1 January 1996 as a part of the Services of the City of Frýdlant and its founder is the City of Frýdlant and since 2002 TEPLO Frýdlant has been a limited liability company. This organization ensures the production, distribution and supply of heat and hot water and operates a hot water gas boiler room, which is located on the southeastern outskirts of Frýdlant. This company was established by the reconstruction of the coal-fired boiler room and its gasification. Among other things, this has led to a significant reduction in emissions into the air, and this results in a reduction in charges for air pollution from previous amounts of almost one hundred thousand crowns. After the cessation of the operation of the light fuel oil boiler room, the gas boiler room remained the only source of central heat supply for housing construction in the eastern part of the town of Frýdlant. A total of 58 house heat exchanger stations are supplied from this boiler room. The largest consumers of heat and hot water are apartment buildings with a total of 1206 housing units. In order to improve customer service, the company is expanding its heating options with the LTO variant. Since 2010, a cogeneration unit of ČEZ - TEDOM with an output of 1.2 MW has been put into operation at the boiler room. After evaluating this cooperation, a second CHP with an output of 0.2 MW was installed in 2012. A cogeneration unit is a device that simultaneously produces electricity and heat from gas. The company also uses a heat item. This share changes up to 100% in the summer. KGJ has a precisely determined number of hours per day that it travels (produces). There are 4 natural gas boilers in the boiler room. One is equipped with a so-called dual-fuel burner. which burns natural gas (hereinafter only ZP), but also light fuel oil (hereinafter LTO). LTO is used in case of emergency operation of the boiler room. For this reason, the supply of ZP is stopped. In the event of an interruption in the supply of gas in the winter, we are able to ensure the tempering of buildings with this medium. Other boilers are pure gas boilers with outputs of 2, 9 MW, 1, 8 MW and 5 MW (condensing). The power structure is composed so that the optimal output can be set when supplying thermal energy, so that the operation is as efficient and economical as possible. The cascading arrangement of the boilers allows their gradual start-up in the event of extreme frosts in the winter. The current design of the boiler room supplies customers with DHW heat energy 24 hours a year all year round in the winter. The transition of the boiler room operation from coal to natural gas also significantly reduced flue gas emissions. During the operation of the coal-fired boiler room, for example, in 1994, emissions totaled 168 tonnes and the charge amounted to CZK 198,000. For comparison, in 2009 the amount of emissions discharged through the chimney was 3.26 tons and the discharge fee was CZK 2,500. Currently, the discharge fee is zero! We are also currently evaluating the impact of the price of fuel on the price of heat supply to customers. In the end, however, it is money that cannot be used to improve services, technology, but to pay the state a tax.
