The village of Cetenov lies in a picturesque foothill landscape in the Zábrdka river basin in the southwestern promontory of the Podještědí microregion, about 6 km southwest of Český Dub.
Visitors to the village of Cetenov are especially interested in the beautiful surrounding nature. The flatter plateaus and beautiful valleys alternate in the village. The dominant role is played by the picturesque Zábrdka valley, where beautiful riparian meadows intersect with forest stands. The highest point of the area is Vystrkov with 466 m.n.m. The lowest is the Zábrdka valley 272 m above sea level.
Of the monuments in the village, it is worth mentioning the chapel of St. Linhart, iron cross, column with a statue of St. Jan Nepomucký, in Hrubý Lesnov, visitors will be captivated by the preserved timbered buildings.
The Cetenov - Hrubý Lesnov Volunteer Fire Brigade is located in the village.
The local library of the village of Cetenov is located on the 1st floor of the Municipal Office building and is open
every Monday from 16:00 to 18:00.
Cetenov is a member of the Association of Municipalities of the Podralsko Microregion, the Nisa Euroregion and the Association of Towns and Municipalities of the Liberec Region.
The following settlements belong to the administrative territory of the municipality of Cetenov, which in 1976 became a part of the resort municipality of Všelibice and became independent again by referendum in 1990: Dehtáry, Dolánky, Hrubý Lesnov, Těšnov, Vystrkov and Cetenov.
