The village of Pluhův Žďár can be found in the South Bohemian Region, about fifteen kilometers northwest of the district town of Jindřichův Hradec. The first mention of the village, more precisely about the fortress, which was later adapted to today's Baroque castle, comes from 1267. The fortress was owned by Pluh of Rabštejn and the Pluh family of Žďár owned the fortress and village until the 15th century, hence the name of our village. Pluhův Žďár. We currently associate several smaller villages, with a total of 617 inhabitants.
