The village of Ponědrážka is located in the district of Jindřichův Hradec in the South Bohemian Region. The oldest written mention of Ponědrážka dates from 1379 as part of the Rožmberk estate.
The village is located completely outside the more frequented roads, which is why peace and tranquility reign here. The sparse development of cottages used mainly for recreation gives the place an idyllic and relaxed atmosphere.
Ponědrážka is surrounded by many ponds and flooded sandpits, which allow almost all kinds of water sports and are a paradise for fishermen.
There are very well-marked hiking and cycling routes in the vicinity, the nearby river Lužnice is the destination of boating tourism.
The village of Ponědrážka is located in the protected landscape area of Třeboňsko and in the European important locality Hliníř – Ponědrážka. Northwest of the village lies the nature reserve Rašeliniště Hovízna.
