The Research Institute of Plant Production, v. V. I. Is the largest workplace of applied research in the Czech Republic, focused on plant production and related fields. In addition to traditional fields such as crop production, agroecology, genetics and breeding, plant nutrition, phytosanitary and stock conservation, research is now focusing more on sustainable farming systems. In addition to research activities, VÚRV, v. V. I. Also runs a gene bank and participates in the education of students in the form of semester lectures and seminars and in the supervision of bachelor's, diploma and doctoral theses. The seat of the institute is located at Drnovská 507/73, Prague 6.
