The town of Lázně Bělohrad is located near the town of Jičín in a beautiful valley by the river Javorka. The dominant feature of the area is the 671 meter high mountain Zvičina, after which the area is called Podzvičinsko.
The first mention of the town comes from 1354, the name Bělohrad originated from the white walls of the building, which was built in the middle of the 16th century by Jan Škopek from Bílé Otradovice. In 1722, Emperor Charles VI promoted. Bělohrad to the town, in 1885 the spa was founded and in 1905 the name was changed to Lázně Bělohrad.
Monument to the writer K. V. Raise, the Church of All Saints from the second half of the 17th century, the Frič Museum opened in 1904 and in front of it a monument to the writer Raise, the Neo-Renaissance building of the Spa Hotel, timbered buildings and a number of statues.
