The first historical report about Nechanice:
- Earth plates from 1228. That year the Czech King Wenceslas II. he handed over part of the fines to the Litomyšl monastery for the salvation of the soul of his brother Vladislav, which he confirmed by a document certified by witnesses, including Petr of Nechanice, who was the ancestor of the lords of Krumlov. At that time, Nechanice, still a market village, was promoted to a town and received its emblem from the lords of Krumlov, a red five-petalled rose with a golden bud in the middle and green leaves in a silver shield.
