The village of Žerůtky lies about 9 km northwest of Znojmo, near the main road Znojmo-Jihlava, at an altitude of 380 meters. On its territory live 243 inhabitants. The cadastre includes an area with a total area of 218 ha. A significant dominant feature when arriving in the village from the state road is the listed chapel on the horizon.
The first written mention of the Žerůtky dates back to 1353. The village of Žerůtky was an ancient Slavic settlement, situated in a rolling landscape around a local stream, which cuts gracefully into a beautiful landscape on the northern side.
The dominant feature of the village is the recently renovated chapel with a bell tower, which is situated in the middle of this territorial unit. There is also a former kindergarten building, a pond with an adjacent park, a water reservoir and a former quarry.
