The Salaš boar insemination station is located in the foothills of the Chřiby forests. Its origin dates back to 1971, when tin pens for boars were installed and in December of this year, the first three stallions were brought and housed. The first insemination rations for agricultural holdings were dispatched from Salaš in January 1972. Quality stallions for breeding farms were imported from Sweden. In 2001, the most insemination doses were sold.
