FAHFAs – fatty acids for research newly synthesized by Cayman Chemical scientists

Ann Arbor, December 2014: Scientists from the Cayman Chemical company have synthesized a new family of oxidized fatty acids – FAHFAs (fatty acid hydroxyfatty acids), which may belong among the so called “good” fats. While omega-3 fatty acids are known for their positive effects on the human body, FAHFAs are a group of lipids with yet unexplored potential that are now available from Cayman Chemical for research purposes.
