The village is part of the recreation area of the Porubka valley and a tourist crossing of the Klimkovice spa, 2 km away.

The first mention of the village is from 1377. The village then belonged to Henry of Bítov and brothers who had courts in Hrabyně, Dobroslavice, Smolkov and Great Polom.
