Litultovice township is located in the Moravian-Silesian Region 12 km southwest of Opava on road I / 46, in the direction of Olomouc. With a population of 825 and an area of 1035 ha, Litultovice is one of the smaller villages of western Opava.
Litultovice is an independent municipality with a building office and a registry office.
The village has three adjacent settlements: Choltice, Luhy and Pilný Mlýn.
The township is involved in the Rural Renewal Program, is a member of the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic, a member of the Silesia Euroregion, Hvozdnice Micro-Region, and the Union of Municipalities for the Litultovice Group Water Supply Operation.
Litultovice has a name from its founder Litulta (Lutulta, Litolta).
The oldest preserved monument in Litultovice is in the list of bishop's men in the environs of Opava from the period 1289 - 1325, in which they have the name of German, although the list is written in Latin.
Only in 1368 we meet again with Litultovice, the holder of the knight Vavřík of Lutholtowitz (1368 - 89).
In 1582 Litultovice burnt down completely, except for the fortress.
In 1601 the fief was held by the sons of Karel Bítovský - Václav and Jiří Bítovský from Bítov. The time of Bítov was founded
"New Castle", as evidenced by the well-preserved year 1609.
In 1718 the Renaissance chateau was rebuilt into a Baroque residence. The interiors of the chateau were given Baroque stucco decorations.
In the years 1844 - 1847 was in Litultovice newly built church. Bartholomew and in 1849 was consecrated.
10th March 1877 was allowed and introduced in Litultovice gendarmerie expositura.
In 1885 a volunteer fire brigade was founded in Litultovice and its first chairman was Isidor Lhotský.
In the village there is a convenience store, a branch of the Czech Post, a health center with a dentist, female, general practitioner and pediatrician. There is a three-class elementary school and kindergarten. Recently the Pension for seniors was opened in Litultovice.
The building of the chateau houses a township office with a historical ceremonial hall, a library, a pharmacy, a chateau restaurant, the Litultovice History Museum and a firehouse garage.
