Obec Sisma

Sisma 59, Sisma 751 11
Šišma village is located in a slightly undulating region covered with forests, between Lipník and Dřevohostice in the district of Přerov. At present, 205 people live here and the village is part of the Záhoří-Helfštýn microregion.
The first written mention of the village with an unusual name comes from 1348, which proves that there used to stand a fortress, it was home to two brothers, Beneš and Dobeš of Šišma. In 1558 the fortress with the village of Shishma and other villages in the vicinity sold Burian Barsky to Vilem of Zerotin, since then the fortress in Shishma deteriorated and finally disappeared completely. Today, we can only guess where she stood.
