The village of Raškovice is situated on the left bank of the Morávka River. It is one of the oldest villages in the area. In the 1820s, the local landowner Adámek established the treatment and bleach of the canvas. In the village there is 1 important employer organization and a number of small companies.
The cottage part is used for recreation of inhabitants mainly from Ostrava and Karviná. Residents and holidaymakers can play sports - play volleyball, tennis, football.
Refreshments can be enjoyed in the Adámková Villa, the U Fojtíků restaurant, the newly opened U bobra restaurant, or the Hotel Ondráš. You can also visit the permanent exhibition of the Raškovice Memorial. Convenient location of the village allows good bus connections with nearby and distant surroundings.
From the village there are possible ascents to the surrounding peaks - Travný, Slavíč, Ropička, Prašivá. Trout, grayling, and gray live in the clear waters of mountain rivers and streams. It is worth mentioning several centuries-old oaks.
