The Masaryk Institute and Archives of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, v. v. i., is a scientific institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Its uniqueness lies in the interdisciplinary interweaving of scientific fields (especially history, archival science, auxiliary historical sciences, political science, literary history). It deals with research into the modern history of Czech countries in the Central European context with an emphasis on Masaryk's research and the history of scientific institutions and personalities, and also focuses on archival and codicology. The subject of the activity is also the reception and processing of archival records from the offices of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and archival records resulting from the activities of individual scientists. On the basis of the contract, it takes care of the archive and library funds of the T. G. Masaryk Institute, o. p. s. The Institute provides service and consulting services of a scientific and information nature and ensures supervision of the file service within the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
