The castle, which has been remembered as a late-Gothic fortress since 1480, is one of the most valuable monuments. The castle building went through a complex architectural and historical development. Next to the church stands Meinert's tomb, a romantic building from the first half of the 19th century, the only copy of the princely tomb in Weimar.

A former parsonage, a one-story building from 1737, is built near the church, today the headquarters of the Rescue station for wild animals and an ecological education center with a permanent exhibition "Nature and life in Poodří".
