Research Institute of Forestry and Hunting, v. V. I., The founder of which is the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, solves scientific research projects in the field of forestry and hunting and participation in the implementation of results into practice. His other activity is also the provision of expert and advisory services for the state administration and forest owners of all categories. As part of the National Program for the Protection and Reproduction of the Forest Tree Gene Pool, the National Bank of Forest Tree Seeds and Explants operates, which has the task, among other things, of maintaining the biodiversity of forest ecosystems. The seat of the institute is located at Strnady 136, Jíloviště, Prague-west.

Testing laboratories:
- performing quantitative analyzes of the main components of the forest ecosystem, ie soil and humus samples, plant material (needles, blueberries, mushrooms, biomass) and surface, precipitation and soil water samples.
Forestry Information Center:
- provides expert and advisory services for forest owners, especially in the field of transmission of information on the results of forestry and hunting research and their use for practice.
National Bank of Seeds and Forest Tree Explants:
- the aim is to preserve and reproduce the gene pool of forest trees as part of the national wealth for future generations.
