The village Uhřínov is located in the district of Žďár nad Sázavou 6 km west of the town of Velké Meziříčí. 355 inhabitants live here. The river Balinka flows through the village.
The first written mention of the village dates from 1348. At that time it was partly owned by Ondřej of Uhřínov and partly belonged to the Meziříč estate. Legend has it that Ungeltberg Castle stood near the village. A group of robbers lived on it, so in 1312 the king conquered the castle of Luxembourg, hung the robbers and had the castle demolished. According to the castle, the village got its name.

- Church of the Exaltation of St. The cross was built in the pseudo-Romanesque style 1908-1909 (consecrated on November 28), the main altar is a gift from the city of Vienna, on the 35 m high tower are five bells, the largest Paul (620 kg). It was built on the site of the original small Baroque church of St. Crisis.
