Obec Pisecna

Obecní úřad Písečná.
Písečná is located east of Jablunkov on the right bank of the river Olše, it is 3 km away. Its elongated cadastre, which intersects the Kotelnice brook, faces northeast to the Krkavice hill. As of 1 January 2011, the municipality has 891 inhabitants, the cadastral area is 236 ha.
Písečná was originally a mountain settlement, part of the town of Jablunkov. The first mention of Písečná comes from 1446, when it was probably already inhabited. At their beginnings stood the brothers Matouš, Štefan and Jan Skřeková, originally from Jablunkov. Although Písečná was part of Jablunkov, it was no different from the surrounding Wallachian villages. Over time, the great Grunt of the Screes fell into smaller parts.
Significant buildings in the village include mainly the municipal school, which also houses a municipal office, as well as a cultural house with an adjacent outdoor area and a school playground.
Until the end of 2000, Písečná as a suburban part was part of Jablunkov. On the basis of a referendum held in June 2000, on 1 January 2001 Písečná was declared an independent municipality.
