The village of Mrtník can be found in the Plzeň Region about nineteen kilometers north of the center of Pilsen and seventeen kilometers southwest of Kralovice. The first written mention of our village comes from 1420. Mrtník lies at an average height of 456 meters above sea level. At present, 345 inhabitants live here.

Every year we organize a number of social and sports events in Mrtník. These include balls, carnival, the Mrtnická šlapka tourist march, a tournament in table tennis and small football.
An interesting feature from the surroundings of our village is an extensive kaolin quarry, which is one of the largest in Europe.
