The village of Litošice lies in a slightly undulating landscape on the border between the Polabean plain and the first folds of the Iron Mountains at an average altitude of 295 m on the western edge of the Pardubice region, on the border with the Central Bohemian region. Currently, 151 inhabitants live in the village. There are beautiful deep forests in the vicinity of the village, which are a paradise for mushroom pickers. Forest paths are used as cycle paths that connect Polabí with the ridge of the Iron Mountains. In winter, they serve as cross-country trails.
In the surroundings of Litošice, you can visit Žleby Castle and the field in Žleby, as well as Pardubice Castle, Kladruby Castle and Stud Farm, Choltice Castle, Zdechovice, Kačena and Filipov Castle, and last but not least, Vlašský Dvůr Castle. You can also walk and explore the Iron Mountains, which form the northwestern spur of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands.
