The first mention of the settlement without mentioning the name dates from 1349. The present-day village was founded in 1791 from a manor house.
The monument is the ruins of the Holštejn castle and the Hladomorna cave, which is located below it. Today, rare bats, the big-eared bat and the big-eared bat, are wintering in the famine house.
