The village of Býkovice is located in the district of Blansko in the South Moravian Region, on the border of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands and the Drahan Highlands, at the western edge of the Boskovická brázda. Currently, approx. 247 inhabitants.

The first written mention of the village dates from 1264.

The village has its own water supply and gas supply. In the lower part of the village there is a natural swimming pool with an adjacent sports area including a small football pitch. The volunteer fire brigade, the local Sokol, the parish rosary community and the hunting association Dlouhá Lhota - Býkovice are located here, which carry out their own activities and at the same time enrich the life, spirit and culture of all of us.

There are two cycling routes and one tourist marked route (yellow) "bykovka valley" leading through the village of Býkovivce. In the southeastern part of the village, there are favorable conditions for paragliding and model airplanes.
