Kujavy, an elongated village by the Děrenský brook, is located in the Ostrava Region, in the southwestern part of the former Nový Jičín district. With several other villages is situated in a wide, fertile valley, between the Oder Hills and the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy at an altitude of 279 m. The cultural monuments include the Church of St. Michael, built in 1833. At present, the village, formerly focused exclusively on agricultural activities, adapts to new trends in life.
