The village of Žáky is located in the district of Kutná Hora in the Central Bohemia region. It consists of two municipalities, the municipality of Žáky and the municipality of Štrampouch.
The first written mention of the village dates back to 1407. Currently, the village has 351 permanent residents.
In the village there is a nursery school, a restaurant, a volunteer fire department, a hunting association and the Ajax Štrampouch football club.
