A scientific workplace focused on research related to both natural rocks and the rock environment of the earth's crust, as well as artificially created geomaterials.
Research is focused on:
- evaluation of the effects of natural and man-made geodynamic processes
- slope stability research
- recent tectonic and seimostectonic movements and the structure of the earth's crust
- characterization of selected deposits of mineral raw materials and the possibility of their use
- ecological use of raw materials and disposal of harmful waste
- development of materials from non-traditional precursors for the creation of biomaterials, heat-resistant, construction, structural and sorption materials.
