The village of Těrlicko covers an area of 24.4 km2 on the slopes of the Těšín Hills, above the Těřlicka Dam, about 9 km from Český Těšín, on an important transport axis that connects Ostrava and Havířov with the transition to Poland and Slovakia.
The municipality consists of three formerly separate municipalities bordering the course of the Stonávka River: Horní Těrlicko, Dolní Těrlicko and Hradiště. The number of inhabitants is 4, 246 as of 1/1/2011.
An important element of the village is the Těrlicko Waterworks with an area of 227 ha and the Babí hora hill with an altitude of 423 m.
The densest development is in Horní Těrlick, on the left side of the dam. These are mainly family and apartment buildings built in the 1960s and later. The densification of buildings also appears in the Dolní Těrlicko - Pacalůvka section and in the central part of Hradiště.
The perspective of the village is clearly determined by the nature of the recreation area and its location on an important transport axis connecting Ostrava and Havířov with the largest border crossing to Poland - Český Těšín.
Development of services in the field of tourism, associated with small ecological, agricultural, processing and
industrial production, it has a future here. The village is not and will not be affected by undermining and is therefore attractive to investors.
Folk architecture and a specific type of settlement, together with the unique nature of this area, is rare and touristic
attractive area.
The development of the village is based on the Strategic Plan of the microregion of the Žermanická and Těrlická dams.
An educational trail was built in the Těrlické wetlands along the meanders of the Stonávka watercourse. The route is approx. 2.5 km long and follows the "blue" tourist route Frýdek-
Místek, Žermanická dam, Těrlická dam, Český Těšín.
A Sculpture Park with a beautiful view of the Beskydy Mountains was opened in the part of the village of Hradiště under Babí horou.
