The village of Syrovice is located in the district of Brno-venkov in the South Moravian region at an altitude of 202 m. It has an area of 827 ha and approx.
1, 900 inhabitants. The village is located in the Dyjsko-Svrateck valley, the Syrůvka stream flows through it, which also springs here and supplies the local pond with water. The building of the former water mill stands by the southern bank of the pond.

The first written mention of Syrovice is from 1294.
It is a wine-growing village in the Znojmo wine-growing sub-region.
