The basic art school Ořechov was founded in 1951. Branches were soon established in nearby villages and several separate workplaces in more distant places in Brno. For the entire period of its existence, it was and is considered an important and irreplaceable educational institution in the field of basic art education and perceived as part of the cultural events in the places of its jurisdiction.
During its existence, ZUŠ Ořechov has undergone many changes until the form in which you know it today at its new location at Komenského 702/4 in Ořechov near Brno and the places of education provided in Modřice na Benešov 268 and 271 and a separate workplace in Syrovice.
