The village of Chodský Újezd is located about 8 km west of the district town of Tachov. It is located at an altitude of 556 m in the Bohemian Forest and its area is 6478 hectares. The village also includes the local parts of Chodský Újezd, Horní and Dolní Jadruž, Nahý Újezdec, Neblažov, Štokov and Žďár. The first written mention of the village dates from 1359. At present, Chodský Újezd has 776 inhabitants.
