The village of Zadní Chodov is a large, originally Chod village founded by the road from Chodová Planá to the Palatinate Mähring. It was first mentioned in 1365, when it was annexed to the Chodovoplán estate. In 1555 it is already mentioned in the land register of the Tachov estate. Residents did not have to pay tax levies, but from time immemorial they were obliged to bypass and protect the border forest, and when it was necessary to come to the forest in a specified number.

For leisure, there is a sports and a newly built playground in the village. We would also find a municipal office, a grocery store, a church and a cemetery in the village. Locals can use the public water supply.

During the year, many cultural and social events take place in the village. We can name, for example, a children's day, a pilgrimage, a lantern procession, Santa's entertainment, the burning of witches, a meeting of seniors, Mother's Day, etc.

Civic amenities:
- municipal office

In the village there are interesting buildings of individual farms, such as a stone granary at no. 43, dated to the period after 1500. In the middle of the square stands the Church of the Holy Trinity. A memorable tree stands by the road to Chodský Újezd in the valley of the Hamerský brook - Chodovská lípa.
