The village of Horní Pěna
The village of Horní Pěna is located in the South Bohemian Region, in the district of Jindřichův Hradec, 6 km southeast of Jindřichův Hradec and 11 km northwest of Nová Bystřice, in the Javořická uplands of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The southeastern part of the Horní Pěna cadastre is located in the territory of the Czech Canada Nature Park.
Currently, there is one boarding house, three pubs, SD COOP Jednota J. Hradec store, Czech Post branch, municipal kindergarten, carpentry, several roofing companies, car repair shops in the village.
