The village of Ledce is part of the Džbán nature park. It was declared a nature park in 1994 and its area is 416 km2. It lies on the territory of the districts of Louny, Kladno and Rakovník. The territory of Džbán is mainly hilly and in some places passes into the highlands.
The village is first mentioned in 1400 as the village of Prokopa z Ledcő, who moved to Levý Hradec in 1403. After that, the village was acquired by Petr Kočvara, and after him the fortress and the village were inherited by his son Václav from Ledce. In the years 1437-39, Ledec Otík from Bysně became the owner. In addition, a number of owners took turns in ownership.
The name of the village probably originated from the diminutive or diminutive of the word lado or lada, or barren, unplowed land - little lada.
In the village of Ledce, there is a library, a well-stocked general store, a small restaurant, a hairdresser, a joinery, an agricultural cooperative and a boarding house.
The village is also alive with culture. The Burning of the Witches, the Old Bohemian May Day with the village parade, the Children's Day and the Ledce Garden, where the most beautiful vegetables, fruits, flowers and various dry weaves are exhibited, are very popular.
A green hiking route passes through the village, which is interspersed with the blue and yellow trails. As the village is located in the Džbán Nature Park, the entire region is criss-crossed with paths for pedestrians and cyclists
