The ancient town of Mělník is situated on the banks of the Elbe River about forty kilometers north of the capital city of Prague. The history of the town dates back to the Late Stone Age. Ludmila, used to be a royal dowry town and is still a well-known wine center. It offers its visitors a number of historical, religious and technical monuments and annual festive vintage.
