The town of Česká Kamenice is located in the north of Bohemia, in the district of Děčín and has approx. 5200 inhabitants.
On the territory of Česká Kamenice, three protected landscape areas meet, namely the Lužické Mountains PLA, the Labské Pískovce PLA and the České středohoří PLA. The river Kamenice flows through Česká Kamenice, and its historical core is a city monument zone.
The first written mention of Česká Kamenice dates back to 1352. After the Second World War, most of the local population was forcibly displaced and the city's fame began to decline. However, thanks to the untouched historical core of the city, in 2005 Česká Kamenice won the Historic City of the Year 2005 award.
