In ancient times, trade routes from Lusatia to the inland and further south through Prague passed through the territory of today's Hodkovice. At the place where the two roads connected, a settlement was established, which became the economic center in the Frýdštejn estate. This fact is also evidenced by the preserved entries in the books of the papal tithes, where there is a mention of Hodkovice from 1352.
Our town is situated in a beautiful location at the foot of the Lusatian Mountains. It has a very nice surroundings with many natural beauties and attractions, but it is also decorated with various statues, which are references to the ancient past.
