The town of Zákupy currently has about 2, 800 inhabitants. They, as well as visitors to Zákup, can use the services of a polyclinic (general practitioner, pediatrician and gynecologist), dentist, pharmacy, large sports complex including sports hall and gym, swimming pool with water slide, catering and accommodation facilities (see separate section), relatively large a network of shops of all kinds, including two fuel pumps, the possibility of repairing motor vehicles and bicycles on site. There are good train and bus connections to the surrounding area.
