The Municipal Museum and Gallery of Lomnice nad Popelkou is housed in a neoclassical four-story patrician city palace, built between 1816 and 1826 by the builder Johan Herkner, which originally served for the representative purposes of the Noble family and at the same time as a textile manufactory until 1911.

The museum focuses primarily on the history and ethnography of Lomnick, as well as the mineralogical and zoological wealth of the Krkonoše Mountains and the Bohemian Paradise, and in the gallery area on the works of important regional artists.

The most interesting exhibits include, for example, one of the newest collections of painted folk furniture in Bohemia, which is focused on the richly decorated Krkonoše type, as well as underpaintings on glass with motifs from the lives and sufferings of saints, polychrome sculptures, cabinet and mechanical nativity scenes.

We can also entice visitors to a unique functional "fountain clock", a room clock, firearms and cold weapons from the 18th and 19th centuries. century, neo-Gothic furniture and paintings by important painters.

The chapter itself is made up of the Noble House Memorial with examples of various styles, military, porcelain and paintings by the classics of Czech painting. The Nobility Monument can only be accessed with a guide and the duration of the tour is approx. 40 minutes.
