Regional charity Červený Kostelec (hereafter OCHCK) is a non-profit organization that was founded by the Hradec Králové Diocese on 1 December 1994 as the St. Agnes of the Czech Hospice for the sick and dying. Its basic goal is the provision of charitable and healthcare activities of general benefit, the provision of services to needy people in social, material or spiritual need, to people who are sick and suffering, regardless of race, origin and religious beliefs. It strives to protect human dignity associated with professional health and social care and focuses on spreading education in the field of social and health services, organizes leisure activities for children, youth and adults.
The OCH ČK includes ten centers that mainly provide social and health services, but also educational and leisure activities. These are the Anežka České Hospice for seriously ill and dying patients, Háčko, a leisure and education center, the Úpice Leisure Center, as well as the charitable nursing service in Červený Kostelec and Hostinné u Dvora Králové n. Labem and the Charitable Nursing Service in Červený Kostelec - centers providing care to sick and dependent citizens. In Žirč near Dvora Králové n. Labem it is the Home of St. Josef for patients with multiple sclerosis. Protected workshops at St. Anna, which employs people with disabilities in six sheltered workplaces, was transformed in 2011 due to financing into Pro charitu s.r.o. Anežka České's mobile hospice serves the seriously ill at home, and the Palliative Care and Pain Management Outpatient Clinic mainly receives oncology patients, but also patients with chronic pain.
