The village is located 10 km northeast of Hradec Králové. It has been a hereditary royal village since ancient times, and the first historical records from the 13th century show that even then it was an important, large village with its own church. The village combines crafts and agriculture, it is located on heavy but fertile soil, and it is worth mentioning the establishment of the Černilov "Water Cooperative", at its time the largest in Austria-Hungary, which, by draining waterlogged land, fundamentally influenced the fertility and thus the further development of the village. The converted barns can still be seen in the village today, because the old ones could not hold the harvest. An interesting feature of Černilov is the existence of three churches of different denominations, the Catholic and the Czech Brethren - the Evangelical serve their purpose, the Augspur church has a funeral hall. Černilov together with the parts of Bukovina and Újezd today has approximately 700 houses and less than 2, 200 inhabitants per square meter. approx. 2, 500 ha.
