The village of Hněvčeves is located in eastern Bohemia, 17 km northwest of Hradec Králové. The dominant features of the village are the church of St. Jiří, originally Gothic, rebuilt to its present form around 1700, and the adjoining rectory building from the 18th century. There is an over 200-year-old linden tree in the center of the village. The village is also a railway hub for Hradec Králové, Jičín and Smiřice.
